Hi there,
WOW it has been quite some time since I posted. My main focus since January has been eating healthy, exercise and getting rid of this weight. This is always an issue I keep to myself about. I joined Sparkpeople.com in 2006 but after the cancer diagnosis in August 2006 I really didn’t do to much. I waited until 15 months after my surgery to begin my weight loss journey. As of to day I have gotten rid of 18.6lbs. I am so excited. The more I lose the happier I am. I honestly don’t know what I would do without Sparkpeople.com. Today I was looking at a video that a member talked about that was on the today show and it lead me to the video by Jeannette Fulda. Her blog www.pastaqueen.com tells about how she lost 192 pounds. She wrote a book called Halfassed A weight Loss memoir, and is having a contest to win a copy you can view the post here Contest Info on Jeannette’s Blog

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Very Happy New Year. I am hoping 2008 will be even better than last year. I met some wonderful new friends this year. One of them is an excellent wire worker. She does magnificent work.

Her newest item is a crocheted leather bracelet pictured above that is positively stunning. Cari is one talented lady, I have tried to learn how to crochet numerous times over the years so I can really appreciate the time and work that goes into making a bracelet like this. A few New Bracelets for Fall

Ok so I am getting ready for my fall craft shows and my November Open house so I thought hmmmm… I need to do some bracelets in fall colors. So below are the two I came up with so far. I wasn’t sure how many mother of pearl coins to put on each bracelet I actually like both so will be adding both of them to the website soon. I have a few others in the works so keep on the look out.

Hi there I hope everyone is having a wonderful 4th of July Holiday. I want to send my thanks and gratitude to all of our men and women in the service across the world and on home soil for all that they do. Please keep yourself safe and know that there are many people out there praying that those of you in Iraq keep safe and come home soon.

On another note my mom called on Sunday and wanted a to know if I had any beads to make her a bracelet to wear on the 4th. I said sure and got to work. I wanted something extra special so went looking for charms. I found the cutest rhinestone stars and immediately knew they would be perfect. Below are the two versions of my Red, White and Blue bracelet. They turned out even better than I had envisioned. I enjoyed creating them.

Thanks to another blogger I found these really cool Envirosax Reusable Grocery Bags available at delight.com

They are reasonably priced at just $33 for 5 bags and a nifty carrying case. They come in two styles Hip Retro, or Floral . My biggest dilemma is deciding which set I want to get. I might have to get one of each set.

Mom’s Colorful World Bracelet

My local jewelry supply store sent me a poem recently called “A Mom’s Colorful World” so I got out my beading supplies and put together my interpretation of the poem.I have added this to my jewelry line and each bracelet comes with a copy of the poem explaining just what each colored bead represents.
